Thurmont received
recognition for their
achievement as Eagle
Scouts in the Boy
Scouts of America
at the Lewistown
Volunteer Fire
Department. These
awards were the
culmination of ten
years of scouting.
During their career,
both twins were Pictured are Devin Wine (left), Dalton Wine (right), and Norman

Order of the Arrow.
Devin’s Eagle project was to weed and mulch all flower beds, as well as paint
all the bridges and install quarter-mile markers on the Thurmont Trolley Trail.
Dalton’s Eagle project was to build forty-two bulletin boards for Camp
Green Top, with some being used at other local camps around Catoctin
Mountain Park. The ceremony was attended by about one hundred guests,
family, and friends, as well as other local scouts.

Summer Lunch Program

The Summer Lunch Program is sponsored by the Thurmont Ministerium
at the East End Park (behind Senior Center) on East Main Street in
Thurmont. All are welcome to partake in lunch or church-sponsored
activities, Mondays through Fridays, through September 1, 2017, from 11:30
