Young Artists Shine at FCPS Art Exhibit

Upon entering the gallery at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Frederick, visitors are greeted by walls filled with artwork in a wide range of styles, all created by talented young artists from Frederick County Public Schools.

The exhibition, which was on display for the month of March, was curated through art teachers at each school who selected three pieces to highlight from their student body. The budding young artists below are those from the Catoctin feeder pattern. Great job showing your artistic talents!

Catoctin High: Alaina Furry (10^th), Charles McGinnis (11^th), Eliana Nichols (9^th), Yejin Oh (11^th), Kelly Pena (9^th), Chelsea Reifsnider (11^th), Kelsey Roberts (10^th), Grayson Strobel (9^th), and Zachary Williams (12^th).

Emmitsburg Elementary: John Clements (5^th), Kaia Shearer (1^st), and Jack Wivell (5^th).

Thurmont Elementary: Addison Burdette (4^th), AliAnna Matthews (3^rd), and Arya Radford (5^th).

Thurmont Primary: Leah Grimes (1^st), Eliana Radhi (K), and Juliette Smith (2^nd).

Thurmont Middle: Ava Burdette (6^th), Hayden Burdette (8^th), and Olive Rinker (7^th).
