Two years have come and gone,

And yet we struggle through.

Each day brings thoughts and memories

Of bright days spent with you.

They say that time eases pain,

It hurts less each passing year.

We’ve yet to realize that day,

Still wishing you were here.

The river beckons; calls us back,

Your spirit is still there.

We picture you napping on the deck

Peacefully, on your green chair.

While you’re watching from above

To help us through each day.

You know that we still miss you

Just like each yesterday.
