Thurmont Names New Chief Financial Officer

Suzanne Saxton has been named the new chief financial officer (CFO) for the Town of Thurmont.

Saxton replaces former CFO Linda Joyce, who retired on April 30. Saxton has worked in the accounting field since 1987, most recently serving as the controller for Structural, LLC in Thurmont. She has a BS and an MBA in accounting from Mount Saint Mary’s University and is a CPA.

“I believe Suzanne will be a great fit as CFO, and her professional skills and knowledge will help to continue the successful management of the financial health and well being of our municipality,” said Mayor John Kinnaird. 

Saxton officially started on April 30.
