Each summer, Thurmont Little League (TLL) ends its regular season, and All-Star teams are selected to represent our town in both in-house and district competitions. This season was no different!
First up was the In-House All-Stars—selected by coaches, these teams were representing the players who demonstrated the best talent, character, and more in the Tee-Ball, Coach Pitch, and Minors Divisions.
Tee-Ball: Edith Breeden, Kinsley Carter, Rowan Clabaugh, Zebadiah Clark, Jonah Connally, Danielle Eiker, Iris-Forrest-Fuest, Jaxon Hanson, Wyatt Howell, Fiona Kelly, Scarlett Kessler, Hadley Lingg, Remi Nusbaum, Lincoln Oland, Jett Patino, Skylar Pikcett, Nolan Smith, Hedler Storms, Archer Sweckard, Aurora Thompson, Jansen White, Callen White, Garrett Wivell, and Connor Wolfe

Coach Pitch: Logan Staley, Tucker Long, Ward Wheeler, Harper Laird, Sal Guido, Kellin Day, Everett Lawyer, , Baylor Lewandowski, Carter Staub, Everett Oxenford, Chance Grimes, Owen Koontz, Wyatt Murray, Ryder Murray, Folton Beard, Nolan Main, Clayton Orndorff, Andrew Smith, Nash Nusbaum, Chase Atkins, Nixon DeVries, Oliver Snyder, and Carter Rodas.

The teams had fun as they went head-to-head on Leisner Field for some great nights of competitive baseball among friends.
Next up were the teams that represented TLL in the Maryland Little League District 2 All-Stars. The 8-10 took a hard loss in their first game against Montgomery County-Lower, where they fought hard during a last-inning comeback but came up just one run short to claim the victory. This put them in the loser’s bracket, where they would fight their way back, beating Mountain Valley, Frederick Little League, and then would face an elimination loss to Montgomery County-Upper.
The 9-11 team took a tough loss out of the gate, losing to Montgomery County-Lower before facing them a second time in the elimination bracket where they took a tournament ending loss.
The TLL 10-12 team played some great baseball in some hard-fought games as well. They took a bye in the first round before taking on Brunswick Little League. A few errors cost them the win and put them in the elimination bracket. The team came back the next night to win against Four County Little League before facing Montgomery County-Lower in another close game, but unfortunately took their second loss, eliminating them from the tournament.
