Thurmont Lions Club Annual Cookie Contest Winners

The Thurmont Lions Club hosted a Christmas Cookie Contest on December 13, 2024, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Thurmont. There were 25 adult entries and 7 children entries. Judging was based on appearance, texture, taste, creativity, and Christmas spirit. All proceeds went to local charities. 

Children’s Category Winners

        1^st Prize — Emma Santos — Peppermint Mocha Latte Cookies

        2^nd Prize — Taylor Zins — Sugar Cookies

        3^rd Prize — Drew Dayhoff — Sugar Cookies

Adult Category Winners

        1^st Prize — Jim Riffle — Cranberry Orange Shortbread

        2^nd Prize — Jayden Myers — Melting Snowman Cookies

        3^rd Prize — Gorgette and Donie Stitely — Sugar Cookies

        4^th Prize — Karen Willard — Linzer Cookies

In the Children’s Category, 1^st Prize went to Emma Santos for her Peppermint Mocha Latte Cookies.

In the Adult Category, 1^st Prize went to Jim Riffle for his Cranberry Orange Shortbread.
