Cuddles Cat Rescue Closes Out 2025 with Gratitude, Growth, and Hope
As 2025 came to a close, Cuddles Cat Rescue in Thurmont reflected on another year of rescuing, healing, and rehoming cats and kittens, thanks entirely to the dedication of volunteers and the generosity of our community.
The past year brought everything from tiny kittens to shy, overlooked adults who simply needed time, patience, and love. For every purr, every playful leap, and every adoption celebration, we are reminded that rescue truly takes a village.
We encourage potential adopters to fill out an application and schedule a visit.
Cuddles is powered entirely by volunteers—people who scoop litter boxes, care for sick cats, clean cages, cuddle kittens, transport animals to veterinary appointments, and show up whenever help is needed.
If you’ve ever thought about getting involved, now is a wonderful time. Volunteers can commit as little as a few hours a month, and every task, no matter how small, directly impacts the well-being of our cats.
We extend heartfelt thanks to our local supporters, businesses, donors, and the many families who have opened their homes to adopted cats this past year. Your kindness keeps our rescue operating and allows us to continue saying “yes” to cats and kittens in need.
During winter, our medical and supply costs increase significantly. Donations of cat food, litter pellets, cleaning supplies, and monetary contributions are always appreciated and make an immediate difference in the lives of the animals we care for. Thank you for helping us save lives, one whisker at a time.
