Cornhole 4 A Cause Tournament Raises Funds to Benefit Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
On Saturday, September 24, 2016, Barkers 4 Blood Cancer, a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Light the Night team, held their annual Cornhole 4 A Cause Tournament fundraiser at the Emmitsburg Community Park. Twenty-one teams participated! They raised a total of $1,281— through a long-shot toss competition, a large raffle, and a 50/50, along with silent auctions, tip jars, and tournament entry fees. Proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Special thanks to Barkers 4 Blood Cancer teammates, Tracie Lee, Tracy Boylan, Sue Reid, and Kelly Reid, and to all the volunteers who helped before and during the event, including Mary Dewees, Harvey Dewees, Cameron Hewitt, Shannon Cool, and Asiah Florczak. They would also like to thank the businesses that made this event possible.
