A Day in the Life of a Rescue Volunteer

At Cuddles Cat Rescue, each day begins with volunteers arriving for morning and evening shifts to care for the cats awaiting their forever homes.
As an all-volunteer, appointment-only rescue, much of the work happens behind the scenes. Volunteers prepare food and fresh water, scoop litter boxes, sanitize cages, and make sure every cat is healthy and comfortable.
Once the cleaning is finished, volunteers spend time socializing and playing with the cats using toys, treats, and plenty of affection. While some cats immediately ask for attention, others need patience and quiet encouragement to build trust.
Whether it is feeding kittens, comforting nervous cats, or simply spending time giving affection, every task helps provide the cats with a safe and loving environment while they wait for adoption.
