At the annual banquet of the Lewistown Ruritan Club held at Dutch’s
Daughter Restaurant, donations were made to and accepted by the following
benefactors (pictured above, from left): Ron Demory, Ruritan President; Dick
Baseley, 4H Therapeutic Riding Club; Ginger Fisher, Thurmont Food Bank;
Gail Boggs, Lewistown Methodist Church Auxiliary; Bob Stanley, Lewistown
Fire Department; Harold Staley, Lewistown PTA; Charles Smith, 4H Camp
Center; and Richard Rippeon, Thurmont Safe and Sane.
The funds for these donations were derived from the 2015 Lewistown
Ruritan Chicken BBQs.
Guests included Charlie and Jane Smith, Jefferson Ruritan Club, who
celebrated their 70th wedding
anniversary; Rick Bricker and
his wife, who actively support
the Ruritan with their annual
fundraisers; Trevella Foster, Ruritan
Zone Governor and husband,
Don Foster; and the ladies of the
Lewistown Methodist Church
Auxiliary.
Musical entertainment was
provided by Harold Staley, also a
member of the Lewistown Ruritan
Club.
