Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Donates Food to Area Food Banks and Nonprofits

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is helping support communities throughout Frederick County through the donation of more than 30,000 pounds of shelf-stable foods to 12 Frederick-area food banks, which included the Thurmont Food Bank, Emmitsburg Food Bank,   Wolfsville Food Pantry, Frederick Rescue Mission, Helping Hands Caring Hearts, St. Peter’s Food Pantry, Mt. Airy Net, Centro Hispano de Frederick, Trinity School, Difference Makers, Wesleyan Church of Damascus, Brunswick Food Bank, and the Heartly House. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints help load food on trucks for distribution to local food banks
