The Cat Nobody Notices

At Cuddles Cat Rescue, kittens often receive the most attention, while adult cats, shy cats, bonded pairs, and special needs cats can spend much longer waiting for homes.

Some cats are overlooked simply because they are quieter or take longer to warm up to new people. Others may be passed by because they are older or bonded to another cat. While they may not always be the first cats noticed, volunteers say many of these cats become incredibly loving and loyal companions once they feel safe and comfortable.

For shy cats especially, patience can make all the difference. Small moments like accepting pets for the first time, playing with a toy, or curling up beside a volunteer are huge milestones in their journey toward trust.

Every cat deserves the chance to feel loved and wanted, regardless of age or personality. Sometimes, the cats who are noticed last leave the biggest impact.
