Helping Hands: Feeding Youth in the Valley Summer Food Service
When school is out for the summer, many children lose access to the free and reduced-price meals they rely on during the school year. To help bridge that gap, Seton Center is offering its Helping Hands: Feeding Youth in the Valley service, providing free nonperishable food assistance to families with school-aged children throughout the summer months.
The program is designed to support families in Northern Frederick County, Maryland, and Southern Adams County, Pennsylvania, ensuring that children continue to have access to nutritious food while school is not in session.
“Our goal is simple,” said Seton Center staff. “No child should go hungry while school is closed. Through Helping Hands, we are committed to supporting families and helping children stay nourished throughout the summer.”
The service is open to families with school-aged children, and no registration is required. Eligible families may visit Seton Center during designated distribution days to receive food assistance. Please visit the website at www.setoncenter.org for service area information.
