Three $2,000 Scholarships Awarded
The Emmitsburg High School Alumni Association (EHSAA) is pleased to announce the winners of its annual EHSAA scholarship program. Three $2,000 scholarships were awarded this year. They must live in the Emmitsburg School District. All scholarship applicants were judged on involvement in school and community activities.
Olivia Baker plans to attend Salisbury University, where she is pursing a career in zoological medicine and veterinarian services. Her goal is to help protect endangered species and ecosystems.
Aiden Barrera also plans to become a veterinarian to make a real difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s helping a sick pet recover, comforting an anxious animal, or supporting families who love their pet. He wrote, “I want to be someone who brings relief and hope in difficult moments.”
Jared Turner will be attending Brigham Young University in Utah. He is declaring a major in chemistry, with the hope to be a forensic chemist.
All recipients will be recognized at the Emmitsburg High School Alumni Association’s 102nd Annual Banquet to be held October 17, 2026. EHSAA wishes them all great success.
