month Hello, everyone. I’d like to think that these mild temperatures are here to stay
for the duration of the winter, to then warm up in March for the first day of spring.
However, I’m sure we will pay for these mild days with a few snow storms. With
Valentine’s Day right around the corner, a lot of you will be trying to decide what
to do for this “romantic holiday”: go out to a nice restaurant for dinner or maybe
prepare a favorite meal at home. Either way, I have the perfect dessert for you. It has
strawberries and whipped cream involved, so it’s perfect to end a Valentine’s Day
dinner. This recipe for Frozen Strawberry Dessert can be prepared ahead of time and
kept in the freezer for a few days (just be sure to wrap it well or store in an airtight
container). I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day.
Frozen Strawberry Dessert
1 package (10 ounces) frozen sliced strawberries, thawed
1 cup sugar
1 egg white
¼ cup lemon juice
1 cup chilled whipping cream
Frozen whipped topping, thawed
Beat strawberries (with syrup), sugar, egg white, and lemon juice for 5 minutes or until
slightly thickened. In chilled bowl, beat cream until stiff; fold into strawberry mixture.
Pour into baking dish, 8x8x2 inches. Cover and freeze until firm. When ready to serve,
garnish with a dollop of whipped topping.

Gizmo is a beloved member of the Pawlus family. He is fourteen
