Thurmont’s Gateway To The Cure
The Town of Thurmont’s 5th Annual Gateway to the Cure takes place every
day in October. Residents and businesses, please show your support again this
year by turning on your outside pink light each nightin October from 6:00-
8:00 p.m. Pink light bulbs are now available at Cousins Ace Hardware, Hobbs
Hardware, and the Thurmont Municipal Offices.
Visit participating businesses in Thurmont where a portion of your puchases
will be donated to this cause. Watch for all participating businesses in Octobers
electric bill and on FB. Gateway To The Cure t-shirts, pinwheels, and tote bags
will once again be sold at the town office along with this year’s new item-
Gateway To The Cure water bottles.View the ad on page 27.
Lacie’s Legacy 13 Annual Memorial Walk

Lacie’s Legacy 13th Annual Memorial Walk will be held on Saturday,
October 20, 2018, at Carroll Valley Park in Fairfield, Pennsylvania.
Registration begins at 10:00 a.m. Bring the family out for lots of fun activities,
including silent auction, raffles, and more!. View the advertisement on page 10

Fall Fest at Liberty Mountain Resort
Fall Fest will be held at Liberty Mountain Resort in Fairfield, PA., on
October 14 from noon to 4 p.m. This event includes family fun, chairlift rides,

Thurmont Ambulance Company Hosts Events
You won’t want to miss the BEST apple dumplings and ice cream provided
by the Thurmont Ambulance Company at Colorfest this year, or any year. They
will be set up at the entrance of the Thurmont Community Park.
Back by popular demand! The Amish Outlaws will perform at the
