Tickling Our Tastebuds

Hello, everyone! With the summer picnic season in full swing, I am
looking forward to some of those “pot-luck” invitations. We usually
get together with family and friends several times. We also have family
birthdays throughout the summer…always another good reason to get
together and eat!
I was at a picnic a few weeks ago, and someone brought an orange Jello
salad. I haven’t had it for a while, and it was quite refreshing. I realized
when I got home that I forgot to ask who brought it. While browsing
through one of my many cookbooks, I came across a recipe that I believe
is a match. Even better is that I realized that all of the ingredients also
come in the low-fat or fat-free variety.

Orange Jello Salad

Ingredients

1 16 oz. container of cottage cheese

1 8 oz. container of Cool Whip
1 small box of orange Jello
1 can of mandarin oranges (optional)

Cherry pie filling & blueberry pie filling

Directions

Mix all together.

*You may substitute low-fat or fat-free varieties of each ingredient.
