has sent 19 tractor trailer loads of supplies to Texas and Louisiana, at a cost of
$95,000 per load, and while this is just a drop in the bucket of what is needed,
each drop helps. As the flooding stops and things begin to return to normal,
the situation will be evaluated and additional money will be sent.

Community coordinators in Erie, Pennsylvania, provided building
materials for the job sites, while the volunteers provided tools, painting
supplies, and ladders. During the week, a total of seventy-three crews worked
on sixty-one homes in Erie and the surrounding areas. Local residents’ homes
received fresh coats of paint, new porches, wheelchair ramps, and roofs
during the week, with volunteers logging in an amazing 11,907 man-hours.
In addition to the work, time was set aside for morning and evening
worship, as well as work crew and youth group devotions each day. This is a
life-changing experience, impacting the lives of the residents who are served
and the teens and adults who participate.
The Graceham Moravian Mission Team is currently beginning the
planning stages for their summer of 2018 trip to Virginia. They will be
sponsoring a fundraising yard sale at Graceham Moravian Church on
October 12-14, 2017, from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (rain or shine). Many items
will be available for purchase, including the popular “$5 Fill a Bag with
Clothes” special. All proceeds from
the yard sale will benefit the 2018
Mission Trip.
Coffee, cold drinks, baked
goods, and chicken salad and ham
sandwiches will be available on
Friday. A full menu, including
Graceham Moravian Church’s
delicious fried oyster sandwiches,
and a variety of other soup and
