Thurmont Lions Club Giving Back Obituary

In October, the Thurmont Lions Club (TLC) will be celebrating its 87th Diane “Dee” Miller
anniversary of service to the Thurmont community. Lions Clubs International,

Funeral services were held at Trinity United Church of
Christ, 101 East Main Street in Thurmont, Maryland on Friday,
September 16, 2016. A special program included soloists,
Lydia Spalding, Steve Purcell, and Richard Troxell; and pianist/
organist, Karen Purcell. Several friends shared fond memories of
Diane. Interment followed at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont.
Pall Bearers were Mark Spalding, Hayden Spalding, Elliott
Smith, Kyle Smith, James Smith, and John Palmer. Honorary Pall
Bearers were Brian Gackstatter, Dave Watkins, Steve Watkins,
Eric Green, Chris Fox, and Dennis Dove.
