CommUNITY Resource Fair — Countywide Back-to-School Event
Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) and Eliminating Achievement Gaps, Inc. invite all FCPS families to the CommUNITY Resource Fair, a countywide
back-to-school community night on Thursday, September 13, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Tuscarora High School in Frederick. The evening will include school
and community resources, student demonstrations, free dinner and school supplies, giveaways, and door prizes.
Parents and students can visit a curriculum fair in the main hallway to learn strategies to help increase success in the classroom. Students may participate in
hands-on activities and talk to peers and staff from FCPS academies and the Career and Technology Center to discover educational opportunities. All are invited
to explore what it means to be college and career ready, as staff from FCPS, local colleges and universities, as well as members from our Armed Forces, answer
questions. Families will also find opportunities to connect with community partners and receive information to promote mental, physical, and emotional health.
FCPS encourages students to wear their school colors and invites parents and staff to wear their college gear. Stop by the photo booth to demonstrate school
spirit. Pre-registration is requested, so FCPS can provide resources and food for all guests. Register early online at https://sites.google.com/a/fcps.org/eag/
