This summer, Rocky Courtesy Photo
Ridge 4-H Club members
have been very busy. In
June, members donated
items to the Thurmont
Parks Summer Program as
their Community Service
project. Club Field Day
was a great success at the
end of June. Members
showcased their projects
that they have been
working on all year. The
livestock show included
beef, sheep, swine,
and goats. It was a fun
afternoon!

Service project, members at the Thurmont Guardian Hose Company’s Carnvial in July.
again showed support for the local community by donating items of
canned fruits, meats, and vegetables
for the Thurmont Food Bank.
It was a long, but fun, week at
the Thurmont Firemen’s Carnival.
Rocky Ridge 4-H Club members
man the goldfish stand every year.
In return, the Guardian Hose
Company (GHC) donates the
goldfish stand profits to the Club.
We appreciate this donation and
thank the GHC for their generosity.
Club members are preparing for
the local Thurmont and Emmitsburg
Community Show and the Great
Frederick Fair, both in September.
There will be lots of activities
coming up, and we are all
excited and looking forward to
participating in all of them.
