The Catoctin Banner’s First-Ever In-Issue Auto Show Contest
Thanks to those who sent in photos of their autos and themselves for our first-ever in-issue Catoctin Banner Auto Show!
For a first-time contest, we anticipated that we would have limited entries as readers catch on. Those shown on this page are the only entries we
received in their categories - therefore they WIN for that category. On the opposite page, more than one entry was received, therefore, READERS VOTE for
the winner of those categories by leaving a message on our contest line by calling 240-288-0108. All winners will be announced in the October issue.
Best Motorcycle Hot Rod
1992 Honda Shadow 1969 Chevy Camaro SS
Owners: Milton & Michele Frech of Emmitsburg Owner: Dennis Stitely Sr. of Sabillasville
When the motorcycle first arrived at their home in 2012, it was maroon * Came out of Thurmont new in 1969 *
and black with a dent in the gas tank. Milton lovingly gave the little
bike a makeover to show Milton and Michele’s love for the Baltimore Most Unique Antique
Orioles. The photo was taken this summer at Gettysburg Bike Week.
Best Truck
1989 Dodge Dakota Shelby 1972 Chevy 1 Ton Van
(only 1,475 made) Owner: Ed Trey (Ted)
Owner: Dodge May Ted personally restored this Chevy 1 Ton Van from the deck up. It
has all the comforts of home (air condition, heat, toilet, shower, beds,
and lots of character). It is appropriately named, “The Monster.”
