chosen winners, and both received prizes. Diners enjoyed many delicious
desserts, coffee, and tea, before the long-awaited live auction was to begin.
After the silent auction and fish bowl winners were announced, the live
auction began. The auctioneer, Roger Rothenhoefer, showed in fine form how
a real auction was to be conducted. There were plenty of tense moments as
bidders vied for the most desirable items. Roger joked with the bidders to
cajole them into their final bids. It was lots of fun and many bidders went
home with items at very reasonable prices. At the end of the evening, the
winning ticket for the Umbrella Raffle was chosen. The winner was Ann Welty.
Proceeds from the event go to help EOPCC provide a caring health clinic,
which supports those in need in the Northern Frederick and Southern Adams
County communities.
