Community Foundation Presents “Tribute
to a Friend” Scholarship

Scholarship Fund was
presented to Caroline
O’Donnell. The fund is one
of more than 660 component
funds of The Community
Foundation of Frederick
County.
Founded by Robert A.
Rosensteel, with donations
from the Emmitsburg area,

All were members of the Vigilant Hose Company and involved in a range of
community service activities. The fund provides scholarships to graduating
seniors residing in Emmitsburg. O’Donnell, a graduate of Catoctin High
School, will be attending Notre Dame of Maryland, majoring in history.
Since 1986, The Community Foundation of Frederick County has provided
more than $38 million in scholarships to area students who might otherwise
not be able to attend college or trade school and grants to area nonprofits
serving the community. This tremendous accomplishment is a direct result
of generous donors who touch the future with each donation, leaving a
positive impact of lasting change for the Frederick County community.
