Pet Jeeves Tickling Our Tastebuds
of the by Denise Valentine
month Hello, everyone! With the Easter holiday just a few weeks away, I wanted to
share a recipe with you that my daughter, Jessica, has prepared the past couple of
years when we went to watch our grandson open Christmas presents. Yes, I said
Christmas (and as of this writing, the temperature is falling and the wind is howling,
so it seems like it could be December all over again).
Each time I had this “breakfast dessert,” I thought how it would be a great recipe
to use for Easter morning. So, this year, I am going to share the “Cinnamon Roll
Casserole” with you. I hope you and your family have a Happy Easter, and if you
are lucky enough to have younger children around at some point during the day for
Easter egg hunting or Easter baskets, consider yourself one of the lucky ones.
Cinnamon Roll Casserole
Ingredients:
2 cans Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls
½ cup milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ cup maple syrup (or your favorite pancake syrup)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Cut each cinnamon roll into 8 pieces and lay in the pan. In a bowl, whisk eggs,
milk and cinnamon. Pour over cinnamon roll pieces, making sure they are all well
coated. Drizzle with the syrup.
Bake for approximately 35 minutes or until puffed up and golden.
Microwave the icing that came with the 2 cinnamon roll packs until warm. Pour
on top and serve warm.
Jeeves is a two-year-old orange Tabby. Jeeves is the beloved pet and
best buddy to Pastor Bob and Becky Hunter. He likes to watch birds
outside the window, to wake up his owners way too early, and to escape
from closed rooms by using the handle of the door to let himself out! He
also loves his kitty sitter “Miss Dot”! Jeeves is a Cuddles Cat Rescue kitty.
