Fall into the Arts! Thurmont Art &
Wine Walk
Local artists will come together for the Fall Thurmont Art & Wine Walk
on Friday, November 13, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., on Main Street, featuring
local artists, wineries, catering, song, and dance, tucked away in Main
Street area businesses. Local artists Yemi; Nancy Houston; John Nickerson;
Catoctin Forrest Alliance; and Art from the East Side, consisting of Linda
Sandagger, Sharon Crider, Cindy, and Russ Poole. Artist Rebecca Pearl will be
unveiling her newest creation, The Spires of Mechanicstown Park. Rebecca
was commissioned by Thurmont’s Dr. Denny Black to paint the churches of
Mechanicstown during the 1800s. Rebecca will also unveil her painting of
the Thurmont Moravian Church. The Thurmont Main Street Center is now
home to the original Moravian Church. Another type painter on hand will
be Nail Artist Claire Bennett from Renovations Salon & Day Spa, and face
painting by Elizabeth McBride. Tucked in other Main Street businesses, you
will find Catoctin Breeze Vineyard and Detour Winery. Music entertainer Paul
Zelenka of Pondscapes, Inc. will be strumming and singing for your listening
pleasure. EPS Dance and Music Studio will have their dancers performing
from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Lite fare will be provided by some of the best food in
Frederick County: Bollinger’s Restaurant & Catering, Celebrations Catering,
and Mountain Gate Restaurant & Catering. Participating businesses where
you will find all of the goodies: Browns Jewelers, ESP Productions, Gateway
Florists, Hobbs Hardware, Heart & Hands, Thurmont Eye Care, Thurmont
Historical Society, Twice Is Nice, Thurmont Bar & Grill, Timeless Trends
Boutiques, Thurmont Kountry Kitchen, and the Thurmont Main Street Center.
