Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Josiah’s Passing
We prepared a commemorative statement for our great-
grandfather, Josiah Edward Wilhide, who was a local Civil War
Veteran. The date of July 15 will mark the 100th anniversary
of his passing.
Josiah was a prominent citizen of the Thurmont area,
having lived his life in the Deerfield (now Lantz) area. We
thought The Catoctin Banner readers would be interested in
seeing the photo and brief historical statement about his life.
